Sea Horse Earrings
These spectacular, coral Sea Horse Earrings are handmade by Rosita Bonita.
The Ancient Greeks & Romans believed the seahorse was an attribute of the sea god Neptune & as such, the seahorse was considered a symbol of strength & power. Furthermore, the ancient Europeans believed that seahorses carried the souls of deceased sailors to the underworld - giving them safe passage & protection.
The pair of seahorses are cut from smooth pastel leather, embossed by hand with shiny metallic or dazzling holographic foil & hung from shiny gold-plated shell adorned lever-back hooks.
They are available in three colours, sea green with a shimmering holographic foil print, pastel lilac with a dazzling fractal holographic gold print or coral with a shiny metallic gold print.
Each Seahorse is 10cm x 2.5cm x 0.4cm, including its hook.

Rosita Bonita
At the very edge of the Enchanted forest, in faraway lands, you’ll find an old Gyspy Caravan. Its sides are covered in illustrious etchings, whilst blood-red roses frame the stable door.
Inside the glamorous interior, reminiscent of a bygone Golden Era, is lit only by candlelight. In the middle of the room & at a circular table sits a mysterious painted lady, the Circus’ Fortune Teller.
Rosita Bonita is a purveyor of finery & fancy. She is draped in gold coin necklaces, her own talismans & wherever she goes she is always accompanied by two delicate hummingbirds that hover restlessly above her head.
Her only visitors are drawn into her caravan by a Siren’ s call.
They sit for hours listening to her tales & stare in amazement as she manages to reveal their darkest secrets or wildest dreams.
Little do they know that she is also hiding a little secret of her own – lift the black lace tablecloth & you’ll discover a large shimmering, luminescent mermaids tail!
