Hummingbird Earrings
These beautiful Hummingbird earrings are handmade by Rosita Bonita.
They are from her ‘Orchard’ collection, which takes inspiration from fruit packaging, textile designs of the 1950’s & the tropical carnival & cabaret costumes of Carmen Miranda & Josephine Baker.
Rosita’s original illustrations are screen printed onto fine coloured leathers, carefully hand cut, backed with firm, black saddler leather, hung from gold-plated belcher lever back hooks & finished with a sparkling Swarovski nectar jewel.
They are available in gold, platinum & turquoise.
Each hummingbird is 4.5cm x 2.5cm x 0.4cm, including its hook.

Rosita Bonita
At the very edge of the Enchanted forest, in faraway lands, you’ll find an old Gyspy Caravan. Its sides are covered in illustrious etchings, whilst blood-red roses frame the stable door.
Inside the glamorous interior, reminiscent of a bygone Golden Era, is lit only by candlelight. In the middle of the room & at a circular table sits a mysterious painted lady, the Circus’ Fortune Teller.
Rosita Bonita is a purveyor of finery & fancy. She is draped in gold coin necklaces, her own talismans & wherever she goes she is always accompanied by two delicate hummingbirds that hover restlessly above her head.
Her only visitors are drawn into her caravan by a Siren’ s call.
They sit for hours listening to her tales & stare in amazement as she manages to reveal their darkest secrets or wildest dreams.
Little do they know that she is also hiding a little secret of her own – lift the black lace tablecloth & you’ll discover a large shimmering, luminescent mermaids tail!
