Heidi's Humbugs
These extra large Mint Humbugs are made by Butterscotch & Beesting.
These delicious humbugs are extra large, (in line with Heidi the Elephant's, ahem, extra-large stature) with a minty flavour.
Heidi LaLarge, a performing elephant at the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus, owes her exquisite panache on the high wire to these sweet candy treats created by Betty.
Being LaLarge by nature, Heidi sometimes struggled with aspects of her acrobatics, cycling across a tightrope, for example, posed particular difficulties.
So Betty made her these swell humbugs, adding a dash of Weightlessness Tonic.
Now Heidi eats five before every show & positively glides across the Big Top!
They are handmade in the UK, using traditional methods in copper pans.
They are also suitable for Vegetarians & Coeliacs.
Each packet contains 100grams of sweets.
Butterscotch & Beesting
Sheffield’s very own answer to Willy Wonka joined us on a bitterly cold leap year in 1819.
Aided by her bumbling assistants Butterscotch & Beesting (whom she describes as her “delicious children”) she makes mouth-watering confections & other worldly delights fit for a King.
Working from her Gingerbread House & surrounded by sugar mice you might assume that Camilla is a very sweet natured girl, but sadly Hansel & Gretel made the same mistake once.
All Butterscotch & Beesting products have a story behind them, and these candy bags give you a peek into the quite special world of the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus – an imaginary place populated by strange muddled-up creatures, talented troupes of performing animals & magical goings-on.
