Meet Stone & Spear, a comedy duo whose routine is often described as Laurel & Hardy meets the Chuckle Brothers. Stone, an Auguste clown, dresses in baggy plaids accented with colourful polka dots & boasting a wide collar shirt. He wears a necktie, an unruly coloured wig, a bright red nose & oversized shoes. On his left lapel is a large plastic flower that squirts pesticide if you get too close. Stone is a whiteface – the straight man. He wears a banana-ruffled collar & a pointy hat that’s covered in rainbow coloured Pom Poms. He is the proud owner of one very vocal mockingbird. As far as we’re concerned, these two clowns spend their days at The Big Top living the dream. Armed with laughing gas, splurge guns, whoopee cushions & custard pies they have two conflicting goals in life; to make people laugh or to make them cry.
